Activity purpose

Objective

The Transdisciplinary Research and Education Center for Green Technologies (GT Center) aims to conduct interdisciplinary research on energy conversion and use, carbon resources utilization, and related technologies and systems that contribute to realizing a society with balanced and sustainable carbon cycles. GT Center also fosters researchers and technical experts specialized in relevant fields.

■Main Research Topics

(1) Maximized utilization of natural energies as power resources

(2) Effective storage and operation systems for natural-energy derived power

(3) Upgrading and recuperation of power from low-grade energy

(4) Materials, devices and systems for minimizing power consumption

(5) Carbon-neutral or carbon-negative conversion of carbonaceous resources

(6) Shifting of raw material and rigorous resource conservation in industries with high CO2 emissions
